Inbox for Hotmail

Inbox for Hotmail is a convenient app designed to help you access your email account while on the go. It does not require that you load the Hotmail page to view all your current and older emails.

Depending on your age, you might remember when Hotmail was one of the top email clients of all time. Microsoft later acquired the company but continued offering the service for free. When you log into a Hotmail account today, you'll notice that the homepage shows the MSN logo. You no longer need to visit the site to check your email though because this app lets you view those messages on the go.

Inbox for Hotmail offers more than just access to a Hotmail email account though. It now lets you link other email accounts to the app. You can add your MSN email account and any others that you use. All the messages that you receive go to the app. It shows you details about each account too, including how many messages you sent and how many new messages you received. When you open the app, you can also click on any account and load just the messages from that one.

This handy app makes it easy to send new emails too. You can simply click on the new message icon and then add your message and a title. A button on the to line lets you view all the contacts across all your email accounts to select who you want to receive that message.

The best feature of the Inbox for Hotmail app is that its folders. The drafts folder shows you any messages you started and never sent, while the inbox folder shows you the number of messages in your inbox. This folder also shows you the total number of new emails received and when you last checked for new messages. You'll also find folders for both spam and trash.

No email app is perfect, and some users experienced problems when using this one. A handful of users experienced technical issues that kept them from using the app and issues that caused it to crash. Others experienced problems when they tried to search through their archives for old messages they sent or received. You may find that it doesn't work with all your email clients and servers too. If you have a Hotmail email account that you check regularly though, you may want to give this app a try to see how easy it makes checking for new messages.
